Having the right team for the job is important - we are so lucky here at Belles & Bows Bridal to have the expertise of our seamstresses.
Alterations with us start around 8-10 weeks prior to your wedding date.
Bridal Alterations by Laura
Laura has been within the bridal industry for 20+ years.
Her journey began at where she studied for a BA in Fashion Technology. Working after this in a bridal boutique alongside a great team - Laura's skills developed and thrived. Laura branched out going it alone and has had her own business - Bridal Alterations by Laura based in Hatfield, Doncaster for the last 14 years - helping brides within the South Yorkshire region.
In 2022 we managed to secure Laura to work alongside us within the boutique. This for us has been an amazing step as we can assure the quality of her work. Laura has her own diary within the boutique and attends several times within the month to fit and alter our brides gowns. We can book this in once you have chosen your gown so you have the dates prearranged.
This working relationship has blossomed and Laura is an Integral part of our team but still works under her own name with her own insurances.
At your appointment Laura will guide you through the necessary alterations needed and you will walk away with the price of what it will cost you. This is all determined by Laura herself with payment direct to her - and Belles & Bows Bridal have no involvement with this.
Initial appointments are held within the boutique in Retford - subsequent appointments can then be either at the boutique or Laura's studio.

Sew It Begins
Debbie and her wonderful team have been providing alterations for many a years. Based in Maltby - South Yorkshire.
Debbie joined our team in 2025. Debbie assists with alterations for our bridesmaids. Again Debbie attends on select days - and has full autonomy with pricing.
Debbie and her team are fully insured, fittings can either be in the boutique or at her studio.
